2 x Site Manager - Industrial New Build, £6m | Kent | Permanent
Salary: £55,000 - £60,000 + Package
Start: March 2019
Our client is a well-established and successful main contractor established over 60 years ago. They undertake major engineering construction services to clients from a variety of sectors.
They are currently looking for 2 experienced all-round Site Managers for industrial projects in Kent. The successful candidates will each report to a Project Manager, and will be responsible for health and safety, checking design, and managing the subcontractors.
Project One:
-Warehouse, £5.5m - Scheme comprises construction of a detached building / office space, plus associated parking spaces and service yard.
Project Two:
-Car showroom, £6m - Scheme comprises outline application for construction of building for car dealership premises comprising showroom, workshop, MOT and ancillary facilities, external parking areas, altered and vehicular access points, SUDS, gas fired radiant heaters, drainage infrastructure and enhanced retained ecological habitat, radiant heating (all matters reserved except means of access and landscaping).
Both Projects have a 38-week duration and are at groundworks stage.
Essential requirements - It is essential that you meet the following criteria:
·At least 5 years' solid experience as a Site Manager on similar projects valued from £5m and upwards
·Stable track record / proven longevity with other main contractors, as this is a permanent role
·Previous industrial and warehouse experience
·Building / groundworks / engineering knowledge / background
·Excellent communication skills
Duties:
·Managing Sub contractors
·Checking drawing
·Health & Safety
·Driving and motivating the site team.
