This 120-year-old family owned, £50m turnover building contractor focuses on the delivery of construction projects ranging from £1m - £30m, including refurbishment and new build. They work in a variety of sectors across London and the South East including: education, local authority, commercial, private residential, health, sports and leisure, embassy and religious buildings.
Due to recent contract wins, a healthy order book of work from a good client base and a stable workforce, they are looking for a new Project Manager to join the team.
The project is a 2-stage tender, £7m new build concrete frame and basement in north London. The work comprises demolition of existing houses and new build of a 6-storey building (commercial and parking on lower and residential above). The project also involves a new build synagogue.
65 weeks on site. 15 units / 5 bed units
This is a fantastic company, offering an excellent opportunity to take a project from start to finish, with a decent lead in time.
The successful candidate will be delivery focused, able to manage the programme, information flow and sub-contractor performance. The main skills required for the position will be:
Setting up and supervision of site
Good all round building experience as on projects from £5m - £15m within London
Proven track record of taking projects from inceptions to completion
Management of sub-contractors
Liaison with the client and professional advisors
Demonstrate time spent with a reputable UK main contractor
Stable track record
Preferably have a minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar role
All up to date certificates including SMSTS, First Aid, will be required and any professional qualifications like MCIOB or degree would be welcomed.
