Senior Design Manager

One of our long term clients are currently recruiting for a Senior Design Manager to join their London Business, this is a brand new role for the contractor as they feel now if the right time to bring someone on due to their growth and plans.
They currently have 15 live projects, with future ones kicking off in the summer, all their projects range from £10m-£65m, covering Commercial, Residential, Hotels and Student Accommodation. Their a young, dynamic and upcoming contractor, who have grown over the years with repeat business from trusted clients. Currently have their Project Managers taking on the design aspect, but would like a Senior Design Manager to come on board and manage 2-4 of their larger projects and take this aspect away from them.
An example of the projects they do: £13m - 8 storey, mixed use flats & commercial units, £65m - RC Frame residential scheme, 251 flats and commercial units & £40m - new build hotel. Everything is in and around London, with head offices based in the heart of the City.
It's a great opportunity, to make the role your own and over time they'd like to bring on coordinators and other managers to strengthen the division.
Some of the key duties you will undertake as a Design Manager are;
Delivering projects from pre-construction to client
Chairing consultant appointments
A Design Manager applying for this role will have the key attributes below, among others;
Solid construction background
Experience managing one or two team members
5 to 10 years industry experience
Able to show you've taken on a number of projects from cradle to grave
