Our client, who have been trading for nearly 10 years, has built a strong reputation producing high quality interiors over a variety of commercial, retail, industrial, leisure and public projects.
Due to securing a new project kicking off later this year, their now recruiting for an Assistant Quantity Surveyor, this role would suit someone who has completed a degree, with 1-2 years' experience in the industry and looking for an opportunity to join a small company who can offer you on-going training and 1-1 support.
Your New Role
• Assist with pricing of construction works as well as assessing the legitimacy and the assessment of the value of instructions
• Obtain prices from specialist sub-contractor
• Provide all necessary information in order to obtain the correct cash input
• Carry out project variations assessments and assist in assessing the impact of proposed variations.
• Provide Line Manager with information for Client Report.
• Produce bill of quantity/activity schedule for payment purposes.
What you will need to succeed
• Basic understanding of project management, construction procedures and principles
• 2-3 years' experience working in the construction sector
• Quantity Surveying related degree or qualification
• Working to challenging timeframes in a fast-paced environment, maintaining a strong attention to detail while being able to prioritise your workload effectively
