Project Manager ? Prime Residential, Listed & Hotel Refrubishment

£60k-£70k plus travel expenses
A specialist contractor is looking to appoint a Project Manager to join an existing leadership team on a prime refurbishment in Soho. London. The development is the complete refurbishment and extension to several buildings within the Soho Conservation area. The works include the careful restoration of all areas including four grade II and II* listed buildings, a new roof extension, a new timber framed pavilion area, and a new two storey basement connecting a three of the buildings and providing a bar and music venue.
The role will suit a driven, hands-on and proactive Project Manager, who will take pride in ensuring this complex project is delivered to the highest quality within the programme.
This is a great opportunity to work for a small contractor with a turnover of £15m and secured projects for 2021.
Reporting to an overall Project Lead, the Project Manager will have the following duties:
Manage and oversee the contract to completion.
Build and maintain excellent client relationships, whilst overseeing all phases of the construction process.
Instigate and chair subcontractor progress meetings. Attendance of project meetings. Compilation of monthly site progress report.
Build excellent working relationships with all sectors of the project team; manage the structural engineer and architects (D&B contract).
Contract programming, followed by regular short-term programming as the project evolves. Monitoring and reporting of actual progress against contract programme.
Compile monthly site progress report.
Overall responsibility for the sites health & safety, carry out weekly audits and attend fortnightly independent audit.
Formulate and compile close out schedules to ensure completion and quality.
Check, audit and maintain quality assurance.
Attend monthly internal valuation meetings.
A minimum of 2 years' experience as a Project Manager with an established main contractor.
Construction degree and / or working towards CIOB would be an advantage
Ideally, 8 years post graduate construction experience on site.
Proven record of involvement in projects from the start to completion.
Conversant with either Asta or Microsoft Project
