I could go on…but if you have read this far and you wanted to look at a new opportunity, then this fantastic career role for a Contracts Manager, has arisen with a specialist contractor in the high end residential / super prime sector. It might just tick all the boxes for you.

This is a 10-year-old, £25m turnover contractor, that work on complex and challenging residential refurbishment contracts (traditional contracts NOT Design & Build|). They have secured a full order book until the end of 2021 with contracts going in to 2022, and require a contracts manager to join them on this exciting journey.

Typically, the Contracts Manager will be expected to manage only 2 projects at any one time, allowing exacting attention to detail, absolute commitment, and a pro-active approach.

The schemes are valued between £2m and £8m in areas such as Chelsea, Notting Hill, Kensington and Mayfair, and they have recently secured a £10m project in Holland Park.

The successful candidate will be a fully-fledged contracts manager, with recent experience of prime central London traditional refurbishment projects. Must be strong on contractual awareness, liaising with architects and generally very strong on handling the flow of information to site. Time spent with previous employers is a big appeal.

Typical responsibilities include:

• All aspects of Programming
• Construction Procurement
• Planning and Site Logistics
• Health & Safety planning
• Liaising with Clients, Architects and all Design Team members
• Collaborating with Architects and Designers Working Drawings, Client Approvals etc.
• Pre-construction interviews
• Managing and motivating Staff and Site Teams
• Client Development and liaison

Suitable candidates will be able to demonstrate successful delivery on similar super prime London residential refurbishments as a Contract Manager.

A specialist contractor within the prime London residential is keen to strengthen their operations with the addition of a new Site Manager for the autumn.

This small but profitable and expanding company concentrate on varied and interesting refurbishment projects ranging in value from £250,000 - £2m. These schemes require a Site Manager who has an exacting attention to detail, absolute commitment, pro-active and positive approach.

Reporting to a Contracts Manager, the Site Manager will have full site autonomy and be responsible for the following:

• Day to day running of the site
• Adhering strict company health & safety & Covid -19 policies
• Quality Control
• Supervision of the sub-contractors
• Liaising with authorities and technical team

The experience required by the Site Manager:

• Successful management of prime high-end residential projects
• Time spent with previous employers, ideally £5m - £10m turnover in size.
• Able to demonstrate taking projects from start to completion as the number 1 on site
• Computer Literate

This role will suit Site Managers who enjoy the responsibility of delivering quality focussed refurbishment projects. The successful candidate will be joining a company that continued working throughout the lockdown, and has a strong work load for the next 18 months.
