One of the Top Main Contractors with a reputation for delivering excellence and expertise across London and the South East. Their key sectors include mixed-use residential, although education & healthcare are desirable. Typical project values range from £4m-£32m, due to natural growth.

You would be joining a strong commercial team, have the opportunity to work closely with the Commercial Director and Senior Surveyors, assisting with various projects to gain a wide knowledge of the industry and help push your career to run your own project in the future.

You must have a minimum of 3 years experience working with a Main Contractor, ideally in mixed-residential projects, but open if you have commercial, healthcare or education experience.

Key Duties:
• Key package management
• Liaising with sub-contractors and external staff
• On site quantity surveyor duties
• Valuations
• Supporting the Commercial Director with further projects

Key Skills
• 3 years plus experience with a main contractor
• Degree or HNC academic background

Our client is a highly respected refurbishment contractor that is seeking a Site Manager / Project Manager to manage a £2m restaurant fit-out project in Stratford.

The project is on the 18th floor of a new build hotel in Stratford, and requires someone that can carry out both a dual site manager and project manager role. The initial works will be to a gantry area, followed by a full fit-out of the restaurant, bar and toilets. The Site Manager / Project Manager must have good interface and liaison skills to work with the main contractor building the hotel.

Project Manager Job duties:

•Computer literate in Microsoft Outlook and Word
•Knowledge and experience in use of Project Planning/Programme Techniques
•Ability to prepare a 2-week look-ahead programme
•Ability to prioritise, plan, schedule and evaluate works
•Focused on timely completion of project and systematic completion of snagging
•Arrange and manage site sub-contractor co-ordination meetings and record meeting minutes
•A good practical understanding of Health & Safety requirements on site, including specific items such as experience in scaffold inspection, where appropriate.
•Minimum of 5 years' experience in the role of No. 1Project Manager
•Be able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
•Be innovative, proactive and committed to the project
•Very good communication skills
•Experienced in completing works to high quality standards

Qualifications:
•Full First Aid at Work (which must be current and must be valid for a minimum of 6 months)
•Asbestos Awareness Certificate
•CSCS Card (Gold or Black)
•5 Day CITB Site Manager's Certificate (SMSTS)
